Renowned comedian, writer, producer and actor David Cross turned to the Slingshot team for the direct-to-consumer release of his 2016 comedy album …america…great…
Utilizing creative assets from his groundbreaking 2016 world tour, Slingshot designed and produced the physical album which was sold exclusively on David’s website.
To celebrate the… well… excitement… of the 2016 election, the Slingshot team and David put together a product bundle to promote the album release, offering fans their choice of I AM A F#CKING IDIOT or YOU ARE A F#CKING IDIOT hats. The product bundles sold out within a few days.
The Slingshot team also designed and produced a limited-edition 2016 Making America Great Again tour poster featuring every stop on David’s world tour. The posters, autographed by David, were sold exclusively in the Official Online Store.
In the weeks following the 2016 election, the Slingshot team and David worked together to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union, donating 100% of proceeds (the full retail price of the album) to the ACLU and raising over $20,000.
